ASBURY SMITH CUP AND OCKTOBERFEST - october 25
Ahoy Texoma Sailors!
Welcome to the 2025 edition of the Asbury Smith Cup. We are excited to carry on this Lake Texoma tradition.
Due to the weather disruptions, we had this spring, there are some changes with the race.
- This year the race will start at Caney Creek Yacht Club and finish at Texoma Sailing Club.
- Single handed boats will be allowed to race.
- The after-race Dinner and Awards Ceremony will be hosted at the TSC clubhouse at 6:00 pm.
- Overnight berths will be available at Grandpappy Point Marina.

Friday, Oct 24 1900 Virtual Skippers Meeting by Zoom call
Saturday, Oct 25 1130 0n the water Check-In with Committee Boat
1155 First Warning Signal
1200 First Start No warning signal after 1400
1800 Dinner and Awards Ceremony at TSC Clubhouse
Sunday, Oct 26 0800 Continental Breakfast at TSC Clubhouse

A message from the Commodore
From the Commodore – The Commodore's Cup
With the placement of our new permanent marks, a new aspect of our sailing program has opened.
I am pleased to announce the establishment of the Commodore's Cup which will be a perpetual trophy and a cash prize given each year at the Commodore's Party.
The rules are very simple:
1. Turn in the fastest corrected time around the course.
2. You can attempt the course multiple times.
3. You choose when you want to sail the course before December 31.
4. Times must be turned in after each attempt and running scores will be posted on the website.
The sailing instructions can be found on the racing page. The course is measured at 23 miles.
Get out and stretch you boat for this distance challenge and claiming rights for the perpetual cup. THE CHALLENGE STARTS SEPTEMBER 6!
